Illegal Burger, a homegrown chain that got its start in Evergreen, just opened its third spot in late January, at 1512 Larimer Street. And despite delays in getting that store open, owner Jim Nixon hasn’t given up on Denver.

In fact, business is so good downtown that he’s signed on to put another Illegal Burger in the former home of Moontower Tacos, at 609 Grant Street.
