Mark Tarbell didn’t get the doors of his new place, Mark & Isabella, open by the end of December, as he’d predicted to Jason Sheehan, but he came close. Driving through Belmar this weekend, we saw that his new Italian restaurant is up and running in the former home of Chama, at 425 South Teller Street in Lakewood.

If Mark & Isabella works as well as the nearby Oven, Tarbell’s other Denver spot (which makes the Best Pizza in town), he should have another hit on his hands.

Mark & Isabella is open for dinner from 5-9:30 p.m. seven days a week; for information, call 303-934-7800.
