$20,000

Tonight, one lucky Cafe Society reader will get to celebrate New Year’s Eve at Olivéa, the sensational Mediterranean restaurant in Uptown whose kitchen is overseen by the dynamic husband-and-wife duo of exec chef John Broening and pastry goddess Yasmin Lozada-Hissom.

Earlier this week, we asked you to tell us, in ten words or less, why you should win the dinner at Olivéa, and we’ve chosen our victor from more than thirty submissions. In addition, Olivéa has generously tossed in a bonus prize of brunch for three people on New Year’s Day.

And the winners are…

Sarah in Capitol Hill, who wrote:

Newlywed aching to surprise immigrant foodie husband with non-frozen meal

is the winner of tonight’s New Year’s Even dinner for two.

And Shane, who wrote:

9 year old beat cancer, very rough year

Related

is the winner of tomorrow’s New Year’s Day brunch for three.

Sarah and Shane, I’ll contact you both directly to let you know how to claim your prizes.

Happy New Year!
