Denver could certainly use a few more good barbecue options, and we may get one more soon: One Republic’s Ryan Tedder has just become a franchisee of New York-based Southern Hospitality BBQ, which dishes up Memphis-style ‘cue. And Denver, where the singer is based, is on his list of cities to get an outpost.
Tedder is franchising from Trace Ayala, Eytan Sugarman and Justin Timberlake — yes, that Justin Timberlake — who created the original outpost of the spot, and he’s listed Denver, alongside Nashville, Dallas, Austin, Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Phoenix, Palo Alto and Washington, D.C. as cities where he plans to open locations.
The restaurant features a board of catfish lollipops, Philly cheesesteak sliders and barbecue nachos along with more typical barbecue staples like dry-rubbed ribs, ‘po boys and brisket.
No word yet on where the Denver location might be, or when it might open.
