The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $25,000 by August 9.
Panzano, 909 17th Street, already lays claim to one of the best happy hours in town — especially from a foodnik’s point of view — and now comes word that exec chef Elise Wiggins has raised the bar even higher by introducing some terrific weekly specials. On Sunday nights, the kitchen is peddling a 32-ounce Black Angus T-bone steak for two, plus a duo of side dishes, for $30 per couple, along with ten different wines, all priced at $20.
Then come back on Monday night, when you can choose any main dish from the menu, coupled with an appetizer, salad and dessert, for $29 per person. Even better, the same Sunday night wine steal is good on Monday, too.
And on Saturday and Sunday, bottomless peach belllinis are a mere $9. But the best deal of all might be the valet parking, free for up to three hours with any Panzano meal. Just try to find a downtown Denver bargain that comes anywhere close to that.
