Denver was in the mood to party on Saturday. And while things were getting wet, wild and just plain weird elsewhere in town, Great Divide Brewing was cooling things down with a suds-soaked party celebrating its eighteenth anniversary.
More than 15,000 people turned out to blow out the candles or, in this case, drink nearly two dozen beers, including Great Divide regulars, seasonals and a special grouping of experimental small-batch beers made just for the occasion. And while head brewer Taylor Rees favored the Clayton Bigsby tripel, the Leipzig Gose, Berliner Weiss and Heaven Hill barrel-aged Yeti stout were also delicious.
Food trucks and bands rounded out the block party.
