There’s lots of action on the Denver restaurant scene — the ongoing controversy over Frank Bonanno’s fight with the health department, the upcoming Tavern Platt Park…and today, the opening of a new Bubba Chinos downtown, just steps away from City Hall, which will be serving up free chile cheese fries from 11 a.m. to noon.
And one comment ties much of the action together.

I am as excited about this as I am about the new Platt Park Tavern. Which is to say not at all.Also, everyone knocking the health department in the Bonnano story should really remember these two words as a reminder of why we need a health department: Bubba Chinos.
