Are bros and hipsters headed to Stapleton? That’s what readers predict with the news that Robert Thompson’s Seasoned Development will open another Punch Bowl Social in the former Stapleton airport control tower, a landmark in that neighborhood that’s been empty for twenty years. The city needed a tenant for a difficult spot, Stapleton needs more restaurants — so it seems like a match made in heaven. Or hell, according to some readers. In response, Denver Uncovered says this:

I get the reticence for something like this, but better than having it sit completely idle (not casting the best memories). From what I understand from people in Stapleton, they are craving more urban services, and Punch Bowl qualifies. Like the decor/scene or not, it’s hard not to have fun bowling or shuffle-boarding once in a while – particularly since it is pretty kid friendly. And Stapleton is loaded with kids. I would expect it to help attract other entertainment/food service entrepreneurs to the area.

What do you think about Punch Bowl Social going into Stapleton? What do you think of the other restaurants in the Stapleton neighborhood right now? How about the other spots on Broadway, near the original Punch Bowl Social?
