Union Station unveiled its renovation in the summer of 2014, and now it’s making a good thing better, with some tweaking of the eating options: Acme Burger has become Acme Delicatessen, for example, and that front patio is turning into a beer garden. And this morning, the Union Station Farmers’ Market will be dedicated at 9 a.m., then return every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. through October 22. The project is a partnership with the award-winning Boulder Farmers’ Market, and the lineup includes dozens of vendors, as well as chef demonstrations (Peter Varkonyi of Beast + Bottle is on tap today).
But no matter how good that market looks, don’t forget to stop in the station itself. Says Carole:
Union Station is a jewel for the city of Denver. It is a destination. The restaurants are great, the cocktails better and the people watching the best. For those that don’t think it’s anything; please just stay away. The rest of us will continue to enjoy it. You’ll never know what you’re missing.
Adds Ralph:
This year, make your gift count –
Invest in local news that matters.
Our work is funded by readers like you who make voluntary gifts because they value our work and want to see it continue. Make a contribution today to help us reach our $50,000 goal!
It’s a destination for myself and friends. We go for the selection and convenience of quality options. Not to travel. The renovation to me has been a great success.
