Red Ginger, offering “Asian Fusion Cuisine,” plans to open soon at 550 Broadway, in the spot formerly occupied by Sonoda’s, a seafood and sushi place that closed in July. It will join Chipotle and Noodles & Co. in the eatery-dominated plaza.

The restaurant, serving everything from tempura to spring rolls, and sushi to teriyaki, is located next to the former Il Vicino’s, which also closed last summer. But that space is set to become the highly-anticipated Denver incarnation of Boulder’s Pizzeria Locale.
Red Ginger will be open Mondays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.; and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, the original Sonoda’s is still open downtown, at 1624 Market Street.
