I love chocolate chip cookies and Rice Krispies treats, but it’s always a letdown when I see them wrapped in Saran by the register at fast-casual spots. My favorite treat, however, was the pastelito, a turnover filled with a blend of guava and cream cheese on flaky housemade pastry.
And if these sound too sweet, you can always order a café con leche, which is sugary enough to count as dessert.
