Tacos Rapidos, the taco shack that doles out California-style Mexicancrack
grub 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to drunken warriors not quite drunk enough to cave to Taco Hell from a drive-thru window at 2800 East Evans Avenue, is opening a second outpost at 2345 West Alameda Avenue.
If you’ve never been to Tacos Rapidos, you’re missing what may be the only joint in Denver that stuffs its seam-busting burritos with French fries — not cubed potatoes, not hash browns, but bona fide French fries. And unlike the original location, which has no shelter other than a makeshift patio on which to eat those swollen burritos glutted with tubers, the new space — a former Hamburger Stand — has a whole bunch of seats, one of which may become permanently attached to my butt just as soon as the space opens, which looks to be soon.
How about now?
