Troy Guard, chef/owner of TAG, sometimes, somehow, manages to get out of the kitchen of his restaurant at 1441 Larimer Street — only to land in another kitchen, helping out at fundraisers like the recent Denver Health slider contest (where his team emerged triumphant).
But he does good at TAG, too: Ever month, the restaurant’s Community Culinary Series benefits a worthy cause — and also attests to the restaurant’s commitment “to extending hospitality beyond the walls of our restaurant and into the community,” says Leigh Sullivan, the PR pro who’s also Guard’s wife.
On Monday, July 12, the cause is particularly worthy: From 5 to 10 p.m., 20 percent of all food sales will go directly to the Children’s Hospital Foundation/Courage Classic, in honor of four-year-old Hudson Huckemeyer.
