Last week, as the TikTok ban loomed, we spent a little extra time scrolling. Amidst updates from Spencer Pratt and his wife, Crested Butte native Heidi Montag, as her fifteen-year-old album topped the charts following the loss of their Pacific Palisades home, we stumbled upon a tasty offer.
On Friday, January 17, local company Tender Belly posted a video on TikTok and Instagram. “All right, time for a little fun,” says co-founder Shannon Duffy. “We have a big garage door in our office here. For a limited amount of time, we’re going to throw bacon to anybody that goes down there and yells, ‘Hey, throw us some Tender Belly bacon.” The team has also installed a “bacon bell” on a pole near the office in case the garage door is closed because of the cold temps.
The company had a few takers before it shut down the giveaway for the weekend. But like TikTok itself, the offer is back on from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, January 20, through Thursday, January 23 (or until they’re “done with the fun”).
“If you come when we aren’t here, take a selfie out front, DM us and we’ll send you some TB Bucks to cash in for free bacon,” notes the latest update.
We don’t want to ruin the scavenger hunt-style appeal of this offer so we won’t share the exact address here, but Duffy does note that it’s in the “Taxi region.”
