A year ago, we named Snow Thai one of the twelve best Thai restaurants in Denver; Thai Monkey Club also made the list, for its tongue-blistering heat and traditional dishes. Snow Thai closed earlier this fall, leaving a gap in the ethnic restaurant scene in that East Colfax neighborhood. But if less of one means more of the other, we’ll take another incarnation of Thai Monkey Club, which recently put up its sign over the Snow Thai address.

That will be the Thai restaurant’s second spot on Colfax Avenue, and the third in Denver (the original still keeps Baker residents sweating on South Broadway).
There’s no indication yet of an opening date, but the sign promises sushi too — something new for the Monkey Club.
