The Crumb Cafe took over the space at 217 South Holly Street that opened up when the Adagio Baking Company closed in Hilltop earlier this year. After a soft opening over the weekend, the Crumb, a sibling to Cake Crumbs Bakery and the Denver Cupcake Truck, is ready for its grand opening tomorrow. According to managers Jason Greene and Alexis Tomashoski, the Crumb will serve more sandwiches and salads than the Cake Crumbs location in Park Hill and fewer baked goods and pastries. The Crumb will also serve breakfast all day, with hours from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m on Sunday.
Tomashoski says the soft opening went well, with plenty of interest and support from the neighborhood. The cafe joins the High Point Creamery and Park Burger in a small shopping center just north of Alameda Avenue, in an otherwise heavily residential area.
The original location of Adagio at 4628 East 23rd Avenue in Park Hill is also closed; that space is currently being renovated into a new bakery by Spinelli’s Market, which is located across the street.
