Independent Journalism in Denver Needs You
We need to raise $25,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.
Last night’s sunset revealed a particularly lovely sight: The signs of the Dirty Duck are again glowing. An April 1 fire at the abandoned Rockies Inn next door had forced the temporary closure of the Dirty Duck at 4780 East Evans Avenue, and seven weeks later the burned hulk of the motel is still standing, a depressing wreck in this southeast Denver neighborhood. But the Dirty Duck is again flying high, with regulars flocking to the hangout.
Although the Dirty Duck has a reputation as a dive, we consider it a great neighborhood joint, with a friendly atmosphere and some real food deals. Find out more at 303-758-3667.
