The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $25,000 by August 9.
With the weather finally warming – and drying – up, many Denverites are moving their meals from the kitchen to the outdoors. The Post Brewing Company is doing the same, and will throw its second annual Backyard Benefit starting at 6:30 p.m. today in the brewery’s big backyard. The event will feature a four-course, farm-to-table dinner prepared by chef Brett Smith and crew, along with beer and wine. Specials for the evening will include chicken rillette biscuits, farmer’s green salad, family-style rotisserie pork loin or grilled skirt steak, and Haji’s cherry slab pie. All proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Growe Foundation, a local non-profit that works to improve school lunches and enrich our children’s education through school gardens. Tickets are $75; you can get yours here.
