The concept behind Tocabe: An American Indian Eatery sounds like a concept whose time has come. It’s designed to be almost a Native American Chipotle, with an emphasis on healthy, local fare.
But while Tocabe sounds like a concept whose time has come, it’s also taking its time. The owners have been working on their space — in a building at 3536 West 44th Avenue across from Billy’s Inn, on a suddenly hot stretch of Lowell — for a while, and just applied for a liquor license late last month. Now they have a hearing date: December 29.
We can’t wait.
