Today marks the start of Oyster Week at Jax Fish House at 928 Pearl Street in Boulder.
For those of you who have never experienced an Oyster Week before, here’s what to expect:
Throughout the week, you can learn twelve different ways to eat an oyster — and you can practice those skills by purchasing twelve oysters for only $12 (twelve cents for every oyster eaten will be donated to the Emergency Family Assistance Association and the Gathering Place). There will also be drink specials, including $4 Avery IPAs and $5 cucomoto oyster shooters and oyster punch.
And, of course, the grand finale: At 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, Jax will host the annual Oyster-Eating Contest — and the grand prize this year is a trip to Napa Valley.
