Reader support matters more than ever
We're in the final stretch of our summer campaign. Our goal is to raise $25,000 by August 9 to support the journalism our community relies on. Reader support is helping shape the future of local news.
Go on a bar crawl with a long-dead cinema star tonight when Matthew Martin, Bette Davis impersonator extraordinaire, leads a Bette Davis Bar Crawl in anticipation of the October 30 Awful Things in Denver party being thrown by the Denver Public Library’s Fresh City Life. The crawl starts at 8 p.m. at Hamburger Mary’s, 700 East 17th Avenue; head to www.denverlibrary.org/fresh for more information.
For what will probably be a more low-key evening, head to Randolph’s, 1776 Grant Street, for another round of Wine Tasting Thursday. From 5 to 7 p.m., you can enjoy a dozen different wines, hors d’ouevre and smooth jazz — all for just $25. For more info, call 303-318-7272.
