Argyll Gastropub, proclaimed the Best New Restaurant in the Best of Denver 2010, is serving up a 5-Course Rose Wine Dinner tonight that’s a benefit for the National Kidney Foundation.

“It’s our way to kick off summer — and patio season — with a convergence of rose wines and some special seasonal food pairings,” says Argyll owner Robert Thompson. “The entire event is planned on our outdoor patio (weather permitting). And, of course, it’s for a good cause and tax-deductible.”

Make that a make-good for a good cause.

Argyll was supposed to be one of the restaurants featured at the Kidney Foundation’s Great Chefs benefit in February, but that event “fell through the cracks,” Thompson said after that slip.

But tonight’s dinner, which starts at 6:30 p.m., should more than make up for that gaffe, since Argyll will be the only restaurant serving tonight, and it will be serving up five courses of chef Sergio Romero’s award-winning food. Tickets are $100, and still available.

Argyll is located at 2700 East Third Avenue; make a reservation here.
