It’s Fat Tuesday — which means the six weeks of abstinence heading into Easter start tomorrow.

Wynkoop Brewing Company, 1634 18th Street, is hosting its annual Fat Tuesday festivities — which kick off at 4 p.m. at the sibling Wazee Supper Club, 1600 15th Street, with a pre-parade party. Then march to the Wynkoop (last year’s parade is pictured above), for live music (featuring the Kent High School R&B Ensemble, directed by Stephen Holley, followed by eight-piece brass band the O-Tones), Big Easy Lager and Creole cuisine, as well as complimentary masks and beads. Down the street at Jax Fish House (1539 17th Street), you can celebrate at Beads, Beignets & Babies. And the Boulder Jax (928 Pearl Street) will be partying, too, with Hosea’s Blood Orange Hurricanes for $6 and a three-course menu for $35 (with a $15 optional wine pairing).
