$20,000

After months of delays, Tosh’s Cantina has finally opened in Marina Square, at 8101 East Belleview Avenue.

I called the restaurant this morning, and reached Ruben Macintosh — the family patriarch who presided over the original (and much loved) restaurant at 3090 Downing Street for decades, before the family business crumbled under ambitious expansion plans both at that spot and other outlets in the Tech Center and even Tubac, Arizona.

The menu at his new place is very similar to what he served at Tosh’s Hacienda, he says; hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., six days a week (Tosh’s is closed Sunday).

For some background on the sixty-year-old Tosh’s saga, read “Old Spice,” Jason Sheehan’s circa 2005 recap ; to reach the restaurant, call 303-586-5530.
