What was until recently an office for American Family Insurance will soon become another restaurant on a stretch of Tennyson Street that has turned into a dining destination so quickly that it helped earn Berkeley our Best New Restaurant Neighborhood in this year’s Best of Denver. The stately brick building at 3900 Tennyson Street is undergoing a complete overhaul and is slated to become Tres Chiles Mexican Grill, according to the list of liquor-license hearings with the Denver Department of Excise and Licenses.
Nicolas Medina is listed as president of Tres Chiles, Inc.; he’d previously run a custom furniture and Mexican art gallery in the space. Tres Chiles will be located on the south side of the Hops & Pie parking lot.
