Since it’s attached to a popular nightspot, La Rumba’s patio isn’t open every day. But on sunny afternoons, it can be a pleasant urban oasis, a perfect spot to sip a mojito and marvel at all the construction still going on in this once-sleepy part of town. And on weekend nights, you can bet the joint will be jumping — often to a salsa beat.

Tonight, La Rumba will be kicking off the summer season with a patio party that runs from 5-9 p.m., although the action is sure to continue long after that, since the popular Lipgloss night lands at La Rumba every Friday.
