The Denver Cat Company opened last month as one of the first cat cafes in the U.S. Customers can sip coffee and cuddle with a number of cats, provided by Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue, while perusing books, jewerly and other items for sale. Videographer Andrew Batemen dropped in to visit with cafe owner Sana Hamelin and her feline friends to find out how the Berkeley neighborhood is responding to this new idea on Tennyson Street.

All of the cats at the cafe are adoptable from the RMFR, so Hamelin hopes they’ll all find good homes and that customers will get to spend time with new cats in the cafe on a regular basis.
