Tonight is the fifth annual Women Cook!, Dining for a Difference, a benefit for Work Options for Women, the nonprofit that prepares women coming off welfare for a career in the food industry — and just opened Cafe Optionslast month.

The event includes a silent auction and walk-around dinner featuring some of Denver’s best women chefs: Elise Wiggins of Panzano, Jennifer Jasinksi of Rioja and Bistro Vendome, Katherine Keeley of Katherine’s French Bakery, Kristen Cofrades of Randolph’s, Kathleen Kenny Davis of Gateaux, Mary Nguyen of Parallel Seventeen, Sheila Lucero of Jax Fish House, Amanda Young of Boulder ChopHouse, Sandra Adams of Grand Hyatt Hotel Denver, Aniedra Nichols of Elway’s Cherry Creek and Stephanie Mitro of Work Options for Women.

Woman Cook! runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Congregation Emanuel, 51 Grape Street; tickets are $95 each. For information, go to www.workoptions.org or call 720-944-1917.
