Highland is already Denver’s hottest restaurant neighborhood, and it’s about to get another eatery: Wooden Spoon Cafe & Bakery, going into the storefront at 2418 West 32nd Avenue, next to Zio Romolo and across from Duo.

Here’s the official word from owners Jason and Jeanette Burgett:

After many years of working in the restaurant and baking industries, my husband and I are opening a cafe of our own in Denver’s Highlands neighborhood. We look forward to cooking and baking with fresh, local ingredients to provide both the neighborhood and city with well crafted pastries, breads and cafe fare.

They’re predicting a late spring/early summer opening.
