Since opening in September 2016 in the Ballpark neighborhood, two questions have dogged the Denver Central Market: First, is it just a fancy food court? Well, yes, but it's so great, we don't care. The huge space is chock-full of things drawing you through the doors when you need that special ingredient for a memorable meal — local charcuterie, high-end coffee and sushi-grade seafood, for starters. Even if you're not cooking, the buzz of energy here is not to be missed. Grab an excellent pizza and a drink from the bar, and watch the hordes of people streaming through the door — not just from the surrounding neighborhood, but from all over the city and even the suburbs. You'll see hipsters settling in with their devices, women from the country-club set come to nibble on tiny cookies, and entire families grabbing a bite. The gourmet marketplace has managed to fill a niche that Denverites didn't even know was there. The second question we're all asking: Where on earth are we supposed to park? Sorry, we can't help you with that one. Good luck out there, people.
