White Lies occupies the same black-and-gold space as Black Eye Coffee, but Black Eye closes at 4 p.m., and after an hour of downtime, White Lies takes over for dinner service starting at 5. Along with the alter ego comes an expanded menu, including tasty starters and inventive entrees, and an increased emphasis on cocktails (with such $10 specials as Sarcastic Silence, made of Lillet Blanc, sherry and ginger bitters).
