Dear Stoner: Call me soft, but I like smoking herb with CBD in it. I can't find any CBD strains out there, though, and budtenders always tell me to buy a CBD vape instead. Can you point me anywhere in good faith?

Dear Dustin: I could find CBD-heavy weed in most dispensaries from 2015 to 2020, but federal hemp legalization and vaping's popularity shrank that market overnight — not that it was very sturdy to begin with. Smoking CBD flower had a five-year run, at best. There are still growers fighting the good fight, though, and you don't have to work hard to find them thanks to websites like Jane and Weedmaps, which allow you to search for CBD strains for sale in Denver.

Shift's Red Tsunami and Sour Tsunami are both high in CBD and sold in select Denver dispensaries, and Alternative Medicine on Capitol Hill and L'Eagle, two longtime central Denver stores, have stocked CBD strains for about a decade now. I've always enjoyed the piney flavor of L'Eagle's 1:1 Cannatonic, and if you're ever lucky enough to come across Tester #51 from 710 Labs, scoop it. Happy hunting!
