Yugs
Yugs, the rising Chilean-Jewish indie/alt artist and producer, crafts immersive sounds that hit you right in the feels — and the feet. His music is the kind you sway to with your eyes closed, letting the emotion and rhythm take over. From the Strokes to J Dilla, Yugs pulls from a wide range of inspirations to make a genre-bending mix of lo-fi rock grooves, experimental textures, and deeply emotive lyricism. His indie-bossa nova track “Mona” caught the ears of many on Indie 102.3’s Local 303 Radio Show, while “Filet Mignon” has become a staple at local indie clubs, with its gritty alt-rock edge and infectious energy. Beyond his solo work, Yugs flexes serious production chops, working with other artists across Latin, Hip-Hop, R&B, and Pop. His fingerprints are all over the indie underground scene. Get ready: Yugs is gearing up to drop his next project, Dancing In My Room. If his previous tracks are any indication, this album is set to be a genre-defying, emotionally charged ride.
