Last month, B-Boy crew Lordz of Finesse and Paul Skeee announced that the Mighty 4 Colorado hip-hop event the blew up LoDo last year would be returning this year on Saturday, May 16. But with anticipation for the event simmering, LoF co-founder Fienz has announced that he will be hosting a special event called The Tune Up on Saturday, March 28, from 2-6 p.m. at Go Scion (10531 E. Arapahoe Rd, Centennial). The event, which is free, will feature 3-on-3 B-Boy Battles with the top three crews getting in for free and skipping the preliminary battle rounds at the Mighty 4 Colorado battles. Dent will be holding down the microphone duties, while DJ Chonz and DJ Stretch will be rockin' the crowd with breaks and hip-hop classics. For those not familiar with the Lordz of Finesse crew, check out some of their classic footage after the jump.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
