This morning, we shared the unfortunate news that Bad Weather California won’t be performing at this year’s Westword Music Showcase. While this is most certainly sad news for us, it’s great news for the band, who will instead be joining Meat Puppets for a string of West Coast tour dates.
“Our CD made it into the hands of Curt Kirkwood of the Meat Puppets via some friends who know him, and he was into it,” Adolf explains. “Curt said he was looking for a band that he wanted to see every night, and decided we would be perfect!”
Can’t hardly think of a bigger compliment to a band, especially coming from a respected act like the Meat Puppets. Adolph also says that the whole process happened so fast, getting the time off from day jobs and securing things on the home front were really the only obstacles Bad Weather California was facing when the opportunity arose.
Luckily, the band got everything squared away, and the quartet will join the Meat Puppets for nine dates beginning June 17 in San Francisco. All dates listed below. Go, Denver!
