In the muddled world of dubstep, the names that have stayed true to form are few and far between. Cookie Monsta (known in his U.K. home town of Nottingham as Tony Cook) broke onto the scene in 2007, signed with Circus Records (the premier label for dubstep artists) a few years later, and hasn't stopped pushing the bass-music envelope since. The now-famous label, whose roster also includes trendsetters Flux Pavilion and Doctor P, just released Cookie Monsta's most recent effort, the Riot! EP. With low bass rumbles and sounds that truly define the overused term "grimy," Cookie sets the bar high with each performance, leaving you drooling for more pure, loud dubstep.
