Denver is a true punk city, with DIY venues and a plethora of local bands dedicated to maintaining the genre's ethos. That's why it's the perfect place for Punk in the Park, which had its inaugural Mile High City event in 2021 at Sculpture Park after a year's delay because of the pandemic.

This year is set to be Punk in the Park's biggest festival by far, running from Friday, July 18, to Sunday, July 20, at the National Western Stock Yards Event Center, 5004 National Western Drive. More than forty punk, ska and hardcore acts will play across two stages, and these aren't your average punk groups. The lineup will see the return of such acts as Pennywise, Circle Jerks, Voodoo Glow Skulls and Descendents (whose founding drummer, Bill Stevenson, created the legendary Fort Collins studio the Blasting Room), as well as a banger set from Los Angeles hardcore punk purveyors Bad Religion and Boston alternative Celtic-punk group Dropkick Murphys. We're particularly excited to see some local acts on the bill, including Cheap Perfume, Younger Than Neil and Cleaner.

Punk in the Park also includes an add-on ticket for craft-beer tastings on the Saturday and Sunday dates, from noon to 3 p.m. — after all, the show is produced by Brew Ha Ha Productions, which is responsible for the similarly beer-and-music-centric Punk in Drublic festival, as well as the final NOFX tour. (Don't worry, there will also be food trucks to soak up the booze.)

"I’m beyond excited to bring Punk in the Park back to Denver, Coloradom in 2025," says Cameron Collins, Brew Ha Ha's Punk in the Park producer. "Denver has always been one of our favorite cities, and the energy and support for our events here have been incredible. This year’s lineup is, without a doubt, the biggest punk rock lineup we’ve ever put together—it's going to be an absolute rager of a weekend! We’re also stoked to be teaming up once again with our great friends at AEG Rocky Mountains to make it happen!"
