Do you miss Joan Rivers? Are you pulling your hair out because yet again, Beyoncé won’t be coming to Denver on her tour? Perhaps you also long to see Britney Spears sing her hits, but know the pop princess should be left in peace after you read her tell-all memoir.
Well, RuPaul is making your wishes come true with RuPaul’s Drag Race: World the World Tour, in which preeminent queens will pay homage to those stars and more during shows in 48 cities.
“Werq the World, the largest drag show on earth, is celebrated for its elaborate themes and stunning production quality. This year, audiences are invited to relive iconic moments from award show history in an intimate theater setting,” says Brandon Voss, the show’s producer. “This fresh production honors classic drag and the art of impersonation, delivering an experience that rivals a front-row seat at the Grammys.”
On Monday September 29, the show will come to Denver’s Mission Ballroom, where Jimbo, the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars season eight as well as Canada’s first season of Drag Race, will host the extravaganza. The show will include season seventeen finalists alongside Derrick Barry as Britney Spears, Jaida Essence Hall as Beyoncé, Naomi Smalls as Mariah Carey, Marina Summers as Ariana Grande and Morphine as Shakira.
