DJ Chris Liebing makes a rare U.S. appearance at NORAD on Friday

It's difficult — maybe impossible — to think of a more influential figure in underground dance music than Frankfurt-based DJ/producer Chris Liebing. In 2009, the techno icon celebrated the tenth anniversary of his highly esteemed record label, CLR, by rebranding the imprint as Create Learn Realize (from Chris Liebing Recordings) for the special occasion. His associated Internet radio show, the CLR podcast, draws more than 250,000 weekly listeners and regularly showcases the biggest acts in cutting-edge techno. Liebing rarely performs in the United States — and has never played in Denver before — so his appearance this Friday, November 16, at NORAD is one of the most hotly anticipated underground dance music events of the year.
