DJ Falcon at Beta

France's DJ Falcon has been around for more than a decade, but you can be forgiven if you've managed to overlook him. He's not the most prolific of producers, but the few tracks he's put his stamp on are notable. His remix of Cassius's "La Mouche" is a near-classic, and his work with Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk on the tracks "Together" and "So Much Love to Give" are solid works in their own right. As a DJ, Falcon hasn't put out a large number of compilations or mix discs, but he's built a good reputation among those fortunate enough to have seen him play. His sets are loose, free-ranging affairs that mix in classic house, electro, pop and hip-hop-inflected tracks and more. You'd be hard-pressed to classify it as a genre, but it's fun, accessible and likely to put a smile on your face and a wiggle in your hips. Join the party — and the man — this Saturday, June 5, at Beta.
