Wow! We’d be lying if we said we saw this coming. While we were sleeping, evidently, the Foo Fighters have officially been elevated to bona fide arena rock status, presumably owing to the success of the new album, Wasting Light.
Now granted, the new record is pretty damned good — especially when you’re screaming down the highway with the windows down and that mother cranked, like we did this past Saturday — we hardly figured it would raise the Foos status that much. Well, shows what we know. The Foos are due at the Pepsi Center on October 9 with Cage the Elephant and Mariachi El Bronx. There’s a special pre-sale on Wednesday before tixs officially go on sale this Friday.
