Gary Clark Jr.'s rise to fame has been fast and steady. The Austin-based musician, who blends blues, soul and hip-hop, has released five albums since his debut EP in 2011, including two that document his stellar live performances; in 2014 he won a Grammy for his single "Please Come Home."

After a well-reviewed show at Red Rocks last year, Clark will return to the venue on September 4, 2019. He'll then play Vail's Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater on September 5.

Tickets for the Red Rocks show, $55.45 to $91.50, and the Vail show, $69.50 to $114, go on sale Friday, February 15, at 10 a.m. at axs.com or at 888-929-7849.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
