The space at 940 Lincoln Street that had been Zen, and was known as Hunks for a few days last month, has now changed its name to Chique. And it’s not just the name that has changed. According to owner Bonnie King, the club’s concept has changed, as well. For starters, she’s added some gals to the Hunks show, and she’s marketing the club to everyone, not just females who want to look at hunky dancers. King says that while she’ll continue to offer the Hunks show Thursday through Saturday, the spot will be more of a nightclub and event center. “It’s like a nightclub that has a Las Vegas flair,” she explains. “There’s going to be something going onstage every fifteen minutes.” On a Westword Music Showcase related note: The bill that had previously been booked at Andrew’s On Lincoln has been moved to Chique.
