Keith Urban's rise to stardom is a testament to the borderless power of music. Born in New Zealand, raised in Australia, and now a country music icon in the United States, Urban brings a unique perspective to a genre often associated with American traditions.  His journey exemplifies how music transcends cultural and geographical boundaries.

The four-time Grammy winner is currently on the High and Alive World Tour to celebrate the release of his latest album, High. Though he's been a prolific recording artist, with eleven albums to his name since his 1991 debut in Australia, he loves being on the road in front of audiences.

"Playing is what I live to do," Urban has said. "Looking out from a stage and seeing people singing, forgetting about all the stress in their lives, cutting loose and feeling ALIVE - that's what it's about for me."

He'll bring that energy and enthusiasm for performing to Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre on Thursday, July 17. Tickets are on sale now.

Urban's musical style is a genre-bending fusion that blends country's heart and soul with rock's energy and pop's accessibility. His guitar work, often cited as some of the best in the business, combines technical mastery with emotional depth.  Tracks like "Blue Ain't Your Color" and "Somebody Like You" showcase his ability to craft songs that resonate universally while maintaining the storytelling essence of country music.

Nashville, known for its reverence for tradition, has embraced Urban's innovation.  His collaborations with artists from various genres, including Taylor Swift, Pink and Alison Krauss, highlight his respect for country's roots alongside his drive to push boundaries.  Urban has played a crucial role in modernizing the genre, making it accessible to a broader audience without losing its authenticity.  His unconventional (for country music) background helps shape his genre-busting worldview.  Born in New Zealand and raised in Australia in a family where his father played country music in the house Urban absorbed a variety of styles, even though he cites Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac and Mark Knopflier of Dire Straits (who, ironically, is now a Nashville stalwart, too) as principal influences in his guitar playing.

Beyond the music, Urban's public persona adds to his appeal.  His humility and approachability set him apart in an industry often dominated by larger-than-life personalities.  While his longtime marriage to superstar actor Nicole Kidman adds a layer of celebrity intrigue, it's his dedication to his craft and his fans that truly defines him.

Keith Urban represents the evolution of country music - a genre that honors its past while embracing its future.  His ability to connect with listeners worldwide reaffirms the universal language of music, proving that great storytelling knows no borders.

The current tour has plenty of hits to choose from, with two dozen number-one songs to his credit, including "Long Hot Summer," "Days Go By," "Blue Ain't Your Color," "Somewhere in My Car," "The Fighter," "Wasted Time," "Somebody Like You," "One Too Many," as well as new material from his just-released eleventh studio album, HIGH.

Don't miss Keith Urban's incredible live performance, coming to Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre on July 17, 2025, with special guests Chase Matthew, Alana Springsteen and Karley Scott Collins. Tickets on sale now.
