Taylor Swift is one of the most successful musicians in the world right now, especially after wrapping up her globe-trotting Eras Tour, which packed Empower Field with Swifties in July 2023. While she won't be touring again any time soon — the woman deserves a break — her Mile High fans have another place to trade friendship bracelets and dance along to her music: the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.
The museum has partnered with Laser Fantasy, which is known for combining lasers and music to create immersive shows, to host its signature events in Gates Planetarium. The most recent run began in February, with several musical options to choose from: Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift.
After tickets flew for Laser Taylor Swift, the museum decided to add more of those shows to the lineup, with tickets available for dates through May 22. "As one of the world's most iconic pop stars, Taylor Swift has sold over 200 million records, earned numerous Grammy Awards and built a devoted fanbase," says Amanda Bennett, DMNS vice president of marketing and communications. "We wanted to give Taylor Swift fans in our community a chance to experience Taylor’s music in a whole new way – including everything from dazzling laser imagery and fog machines to a state-of-the-art sound system!"
This is the "next best thing" for fans who weren't able to cop tickets to the Eras Tour, Bennett says. At Laser Taylor Swift, you'll hear some of the singer's biggest hits, supplemented by immersive light shows.
The setlist kicks off with "You Need to Calm Down," "22" and "Anti-Hero," and you can expect beautiful beams of light for "Look What You Made Me Do" and "Lavender Haze." Of course, you can also expect to hear "Blank Space," "I Knew You Were Trouble," "Bad Blood," "You Belong With Me" and more.
The Beyoncé dates sold out as well, so fingers crossed we'll see that run extended, too.
Laser Taylor Swift, shows daily at the Gates Planetarium, Denver Museum of Nature & Science, 2001 Colorado Boulevard. Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 for youth, with discounts for museum members at dmns.org.
