Lorde brought her Ultrasound World Tour to Red Rocks on October 14, marking her debut at the legendary venue.
It was, simply put, a transcendent experience.
Opening acts The Japanese House and Blood Orange set a dreamy, soulful tone that perfectly complemented the evening’s emotional arc. Lorde emerged with magnetic energy, delivering a set that fused her introspective lyrics with bold new pop sounds from her Virgin album. The natural acoustics of Red Rocks amplified every beat, turning the amphitheater into a cathedral of catharsis. Fans danced, cried, and sang in unison, swept away by the sonic waves of Lorde’s evolving artistry.

Will you step up to support Westword this year?
At Westword, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $23,000 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $50,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of Westword, now’s the time to give back.
