Collaboration is a beautiful thing when it works, and it’s worked beautifully for P.U.N.C.H.I.S. and AAMP with the PM//AM event lineup. The concept features underground DJs in Beta’s Beatport Lounge (presented by P.U.N.C.H.I.S.) followed by an after-hours shindig (presented by AAMP). This go-round, the team is bringing in Martin Buttrich, who will be featured at Beta on February 24 before heading up an after-hours bash at a to-be-announced location. Buttrich’s dreamy sound has been applied to such artists as Tracy Thorne and Tori Amos for remixes (Buttrich was nominated for a Grammy for his 2003 Amos remix), but he’s certainly not a one-trick pony: He’s also known for genre-spanning releases on Planet E, Four:Twenty, Nervous and Desolat, and for flooding dance floors at top clubs like Fabric, Cocoon, Panorama Bar and Amnesia. AAMP also has a special surprise lined up: Denver legend Little Mike will be joining the crew from Germany to spin.
