This experimental pop duo's debut EP begins with the lo-fi indie rock of "Circus." Frayed but controlled guitar riffing and just-off-melodic harmonies give the song a slightly emotionally ragged feel to match the lyrics. "Haircut" introduces vintage keyboard sounds into the band's palette; its freewheeling dynamics are reminiscent of Matt and Kim, and for a song about cutting off any emotional ties with an ex, it's oh, so upbeat. "Six Feet" gets a little grittier but maintains a pleasantly angular guitar sound reminiscent of Versus with a hint of Unrest. The theme of a love lost but not excised from the psyche is continued on "Clap." The EP ends on a high note with the urgent, darker and biting "Ocean."
