Just received word from the fine folks at Soda Jerk Presents that the venerable Planes Mistaken for Stars will be playing its last show ever on Saturday, February 16 at the Marquis Theater in the company of friends Mustangs & Madras and Kingdom of Magic. Keep checking Soda Jerk’s site for tickets to go on sale. You’ll want to jump on this one early. The act was slated to play a dozen gigs throughout the south and east in January, which it has since canceled. So the Marquis date will be end up being the band’s last hurrah, and it’s bound to sell out. — Dave Herrera
