If the opening track, "Tina Turnon," doesn't grab you instantly with its beat-matching bass line, then the slow roll into "White Girls Doing Homework," with its heavily layered beats delicately placed over each other with harmonic precision, is sure to suck you in. Breaking the mold of relying on perfectly anticipated drops, Project Aspect adds a refreshing dimension to the world of electronic dance music: Liberation from the dependence on drops allows him to explore the joys of sound experimentation while also managing to keep the integrity of each song intact.
